Firstly let me just say nice find, this was a special offer back in October 2009.
Yes you can use this £10 deal for an iphone, my colleague is on this deal from October and uses it with his 3gs.
Iphone4 uses a smaller sim, but I understand a careful hand will be able to convert a mini sim to a micro sim :j

You forgot add the bit about openzone access which is very handy

(250 minutes, unlimited texts , 1 GB mobile data and unlimited BT Openzone Wifi.)

I think there is an error on that page as they have the same deal listed for £15 per month too

I purchased the £10 Tesco SIM only deal on Friday, which I think is perfect for my 3GS.

I did ask O2, when I requested my PAC code, what the difference between Tesco's £10 SIM deal and their £20 (monthly contract) iPhone SIM, and he told me that the Tesco doesn't have visual voicemail, and it doesn't have BT Openzone WiFi access.

As I have never used, nor do I intend to use, visual voicemail, and very rarely use BT Openzone WiFi (3G is more than sufficient for sending an e-mail and surfing), the £10 Tesco deal is perfect.

Oh, and O2 made absolutely no attempt to try and keep me as a customer (currently paying £35/month for my O2 iPhone contract...but not for long :)).

iPhone SIM for the iPhone 4 is a micro sim (smaller than a standard sim), the SIM for an iPhone 3GS is the same as a standard SIM.
  • Apart from the difference in size, Tesco told me that they "recommend" the £15 SIM only for iPhone as the unlimited data offer on the £10 actually has a 500MB fair use limit! If you go over that, it's £4/MB. It also does not include Wifi. If your usage is under 500MB you should probably be OK, but you'll need to cut your normal SIM down to a micro SIM. I've not tried it, but there seems to be lots of info on how to do it.
