help with insurance for a 18 yr old

hi can anyone help my eldest passed her test and bought a decent lil car a ford ka ... now insurance is stupid 2400 is cheapest i can possibly find she is a student with a part time job so how can she afford that

All ideas greatfully recieved I have tried as me as another driver Not helped

    - Change to Third Party only
    - Change position of where the car is kept
    - Increase the excess

    Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved
    September 2016 - Back into clearing a mortgage - Was due to be paid off in 32 years in March 2047 -
    April 2018 down to 28.00 months vs 30.04 months at normal payment.
    Predicted mortgage clearing 03/2047 - now looking at 02/2045

    Aims: 1) To pay off mortgage within 20 years - 2037

  • Have tried them all and there all over 2000 shameful i know I can get one to 1600 but thats putting nannas address and dont want to be fraudulent

    my 17 yr old daughter as a learner in Fiesta 1.25 = £1000 .pass her test goes up by about £600

    i had to go admiral multi car to get that figure

    I pay more about £60 more , wife pays more again about £60

    but daughter pays less

    Did she not check how much insurance cost before she bought the car?

    Unfortunately insurance premiums aren't actually based on the ability to pay.

    Maybe not Quote, but unless you are a regular on sites like this, many people do things without thinking the consequences through. The op was asking for help and advice and a comment like this, to my mind, was condescending and not called for.
