Connecting laptop to stereo
Comments
-
You should be able to connect the headphone out socket on your laptop to pretty much any input on the amp, not just AUX. Try TUNER, CD, DVD, MD or AV if your amp has any of these. The only exception is if it is a very old amp with an input for a turntable with a magnetic cartridge - don't use that as the impedence will be wrong and you may damage the amp. If there's any distortion on the sound, just turn the laptop's volume control down.
I'm assuming you have a suitable cable to make the connection. It's likely to be a mini stereo jackplug at the laptop end to 2 phono plugs at the amp.0 -
What's the make and model number for each stereo?0

The only inputs on either are the one for a headphone socket (and the speakers plugs and FM wire coming out the back on the larger one).
The portable one is a Mikomi and the other says ALC Recording System Duraband CD-2218A0 -

fantastic desk top hifiIf the stereo doesn't support input's, it's far more than a rewiring job, just buy some powered speakers for the laptop, or a new hifi0
