Actually the flying sauces ones look really good! And the ferero rocher ones would be very easy to do yourself.

Ill go and look at the links. I wouldnt be able to make a ferero rocher one- there would be none left as I would eat them before they made it onto a tree!!:rotfl:

I wouldn't be able to decide between which ones I'd want!! :) I guess any with wrappers on would be easier in terms of freshness and edibleness

Hahahaaaa me too!! I am partial to them - it's just a good job noone really knows that so noone ever buys me any! It's strange but with hotel chocolate chocs I really don't get tempted to eat more than the 1 - pretty much every other chocolate I wolf down without it really touching the sides!

I'm so pleased I managed to resist pancakes - although at the church hall where I have Yoga, they were making some during our session - the yummy smells kept seeping through!
  • Oh theres a peanut m and m one- my oh would love that, thats a good maybe!!
  • Have finally got round to taking pictures of my invites:

Here's the outside of the invite: http://www.flickr.com/photos/quaveriw/6920017495/in/photostream/

    Inside: http://www.flickr.com/photos/quaveriw/6920017607/in/photostream

That's the only one which is fully completed, but have got going with all the rest - at least it's only 17 that I need to do.

Mmmmm . . . M&M's would be fab. I agree with you and Natalie, anything that is a bright coloured sweet stands out best. Although i would image that it would be hard to 'attach' the M&M to the tree because of its hard shell. You will have to eat all the leftovers or any damaged sweets :rotfl:

They are great. Have you got your OH cross stitiching too? 17 doesn't sound like a lot when you put it in to man sewing hours it soon adds up.

I wasn't going to send my invites out until the end of April. The RSVP for menu choices is the end of June as thats when the Hotel needs to know the exact meal order. That is 3 months notice. Do you think i should send them out earlier?? We have sent guests STD (:rotfl:) magnets so they should hopefully have arranged the day off work where necessary.
  • Melanie - all the parts are ready to stick together, that's just the first complete one. I may make him stitch the 17th one (I've stitched 16...). We're aiming to get them out the end of February, that'll give people time to work out if they will be able to come - those that we're inviting had STD cards back in September.

I'm just waiting on some more paper to arrive - printer chewed up one sheet which then resulted in at least three being smudged... as least the paper wasn't too expensive.
  • Melanie- Im not making them myself so wont have any damaged or left over sweets!! On her site she has a mini egg tree so im hoping that she could do a m&m one.

    Michelle- your invites look fab.

Well I lost 0.5lb this week. Still a lost so thats good. Im now at the weight though that when I lost weight a few years ago I got stuck at this weight for a few weeks, so I have to make sure I dont get fed up and then put it all back on. The one good thing is my dress should now fit!!:j I would like to loss a minimum of another 5.5lb before the wedding. I am setting myself small targets as I find it too scary looking at it in one!!:D

I posted have 2 invites left to hand out, posted one through a letterbox today so just have ohs dad and my best friends to hand out. I also must sort out my evening guest list this weekend!!

Damn printers!! I would def get him to make at least 1, its a groom duty :rotfl:. I am impressed that you have got them all done. I used to cross stitch a lot and haven't done it for years, after seeing your lovely invites i might give it another go!
Perhaps i should concentrate on finishing my invites so i can get them out sooner. Although the RSVP address is wrong (damn you landlord) so i will have to rely on redirected mail :(.

Perhaps you copuld get some sweets and have ago yourself just so you can eat them - taste testing i think they call it :rotfl:.

Well done on the weight loss!! Any loss is a loss and all in the right direction. I ate like a pig yesterday evening and feel bloaty and horrid today. Damn emotional eating so i am trying (again) today.

Wow they are great!! I dread to think how long in total it's taken/will take to make them all!!
Do you think i should send them out earlier??
I sent our out ridiculously early as a) I couldn't wait any long (and I didn't want to receive my brother's invite for his wedding in August before mine!) and b) I didn't bother with save the dates - although people roughly knew our intentions and dates they didn't know the precise details. But I am gutted as I still haven't had an RSVP. I can imagine everyone just assuming that we already know they'd like to come. Which is a pigging pain cause if there is a cancellation or two then I may invite a friend in their places! (Ha but it's still very early for the RSVPs lol)

    Fantastic Emma!! Well done!! :)

Well my great news is my little hair clips came today - they are fab and I love them!! I am sure they will go with the dress - I will have a play around with them at the weekend - and *may* share photos with you all. :) (Bit disappointed my jewellery didn't arrive today though - stupid debenhams!)
