Oh im so jealous that Ill be on of the last ones to get married on this thread! I probably wont get a chance to put pics on here till after the honeymoon! Im also tempted to ask guests to not put pics on facebook- at least until I am back from honeymoon and have time to check them. My cousin did this and everyone did respect their wishes- the main reason I would do this is that Im so unphotogenic and do not want the first pics people of see of me to be when Im pulling a stupid face or something!!

Emma you can ask your guests not to put pic up but i wouldn't be surprised if some people forget!!

Last day at work yesterday, didn't feel real just felt like it was the end of term:rotfl:

My sisters hen party tonight. Going out for a meal, then the others are going to a club but i prob give the club a miss.

I think I may give my sister my password and trust her to untag any dodgy pics people put up of me! My cousins wedding was twice the size and I think one person put pics up and did remove them quickly when they were asked to- nice ones would be ok but I really dont think there would be any. Also we have friends who got married and went sraight on honeymoon and the groom said it was a bit annoying that everyone had seen loads of photos of his day before he had seen them.

Laura- I cant believe how quickly it has come round- it may not have gone quickly for you but to me it seems to have whizzed by. WHat date is your sister getting married? Hope you have a good night tonight.

I can totally understand wanting to see your wedding photos before everyone else - or at least them not being shared around. Damn the digital era!! I think if you respect people enough to invite them to attend your wedding they should have the respect enough to follow your wishes. Plus the odd ones who may forget will soon be reminded by the rest of your friends/family

I've ordered the cufflinks from The Purple Gift Company - they were £14.95 including delivery. I could have got cheaper ones from ebay etc but I couldn't see any others that specifically said Grandad/Granddad without getting them made bespoke.

Well of my jobs - I have tided the house, and added another room to the list of rooms done! (Queue smug mode!). I have also had a sort out of my car - brought in loads of school work and dumped them in my office (which is next week's room). I'm about to go and do some exercise (again queue smug mode). Then I can sit and relax and wait for MrD to come home

LauraL - I read on your FB that it was your last day at work. Lol I'll say it again even if you don't feel it - HOW EXCITING!!

Hope you are all ok. We picked up OH's wedding ring the other day lol it's HUGE :rotfl: I couldn't stop laughing at it! But it was free with the tesco vouchers, always makes me happy :money::D

I really like the cufflinks Natalie, I think they are really nice. I wasn't sure whether to buy OH some cufflinks as a present but not sure if he will need them, I guess it depends what he's wearing. I want him to just wear a normal suit but I think he wants to do the whole waistcoat and tails thing so we'll see.

As much as I can see the point when people get annoyed about putting photos up before you've seen them, I do think it is quite sweet because people must have obviously enjoyed the wedding and been quite excited to put them up! A friend of mine had pictures of her wedding put up before she got back from honeymoon, and you should have seen the comment she put on the poor girls wall :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I can imagine they weren't such good friends after that lol - shame really as she looked lovely in the pics!

I've been and had my hair done today and my hairdresser was having a bit of a play with my hair, trying out different 'do's' - I think I'm going to go for a slightly messy, texturised half up do - I don't want to look too sleek, IYSWIM - I want to look like I just threw it all together but still look amazing haha. I'm all booked in with her anyway, she's been doing my hair for years now and she knows exactly how I like it!

I was trying to think of the things I still need to get so far and one of them is jewellery - I am really annoyed because I have - HAD - a necklace and earring set that would have been perfect with my dress, but I can't find it anywhere! So I am having to keep my eyes peeled for something suitable. I also need shoes and underwear for myself, but I haven't seen anything really that I like. Should get a move on really lol!

I have been on the motorway this week but tonight I'm going to stop at the services for fish and chips lol! xx

I will see what oh thinks- I think it will be him more than me that doesnt want them plastered on facebook- he is on there but he isnt keen on it really. If they are ok pics I would be ok but most of you who are friends with me will see most of my pics are awful- and they are the ones that I havent untagged myself on as they are horrific!! :rotfl:

Mel- is there are chance the lost set could turn up? Or do you think its lost for good?

I am going to wait until oh and best man and step dad have their suits before I make any decisions about cufflinks. I dont think I want to know what their suits are like so may just ask my step dad if they need cufflinks. I have got them some socks though!! (Im thinking this will be one of the things I will include on my childrens photo task!!)

I think once Ive decided how I want my hair done Im going to keep it a secret from friends/ family etc so on the day they wont have a clue how it will be. I think at the moment I really want a side bun- I tend to have my hair in a normal side bun for work so think I will have it done a lot !!!!!! and nicer than normal but I think I would still be like me- does that make sense or do you think I should go for something completely different?

Im thinking I really like the first one- but would want it a bit more at the side- just so you can see a little bit of it from the front- I will take some pics to my friends when I have a trial- my friend is amazing at hair ups. I think if I have it like this I will get my little sister to have something similar but maybe a bit smaller and a bit more simple and then my older sister will probably have hers down with some pinned and back combed!

I showed my sister my ring when we were shopping yesterday and I just feel all when I see my ring. WHich ring did you oh get Mel?

I must say Emma, I do like the first one.. I like the softness of it. I think if your sister had this version and you had a slightly more amped up one it would look lovely. I wanted from the start to have something that would keep me looking like me - I know what I'm like, and if I had something totally different I would be fussing with it all day! It's a similar reason why I've gone for half up half down - I NEVER usually wear clothes that show off as much of my arms and shoulders as my dress will, so my hair is my safety blanket!

OH's ring is just a plain white gold band, it's a 5mm one but he has big hands so it's like a size Y haha!

I have no idea where that set has gone - what's annoyed is that I had it when I first had my dress, because I tried it on with it! :mad: But now I can only find one of the earrings, and I've no idea where the rest of it could be. I need to shake out the whole jewellery box, but I have already looked a few times and no sign of it. I can't even find anything similar in the shops. I think it was only about a fiver in the Accessorise sale years ago and I bet I'll have to pay lots more than that for something similar! Still I guess it'll be nice to have something new any excuse!

Mel- a size y! Thats really big- Im sure my sisters husband was a size z- and they had problems finding one in the style he wanted, my oh ring is a size r- it does look small but it fits!!

Im the same- I want to look like me, but a more done up version!! I guess I may have to take my little sister to my trial so she can have a trial aswell- but I will bribe her to keep quiet on what I go for. If I wear my hair down its always straight- and Im just worried if its wet or windy it will go massive, and if I go curly (which I do like once or twice a year) it just doesnt last all day- whereas if its up it will be fine all day (my theory anyway!!)

Ill keep my fingers crossed for you Mel that you find it, if not at least you will be able to treat yourself to something new.:D

Melanie - I know... it took me so long to do hand sewing and there's more left to do. the crazy thing :eek:was that I almost decided to make 2 dresses - one for the day and one for the evening! mainly because I was nervous about how the dress would turn out... now that it's in a lovely shape I've decided to wear this one for as long as I can on the day! I'm not sure whether the made to measure or RTW dresses have lots of hand sewing as it's more of a couture thing. The machine overlocked finishes are really neat too.

A couple of wedding bits from me :T- I've booked the minimoon hotel in Paris now! My BMs are planning my hen do too! and OH and I went to try on lots of wedding rings and I think we know what we want now! finally we went to a cash and carry (one of my BMs has membership!) and bought lots and lots of sweets (we're having sweets table centres rather than flowers)! :j
