Bearing in mind your knowledge of insurance claims and how garages work with regard to written off cars and storage charges it is hardly surprising.
More so when you realise the claims company is owned by an accident repair garage.
This amused me on your website
Q: Who is/are inyf’?
A: ‘inyf’ represents a number of the UK's largest hire car companies that have agreements with insurers who we work with to remove unjust processes and practises from our industry. Our objective is to support the ‘not at fault’ driver and our belief is that you should not suffer financially or in any other way if you were not to blame for a road accident you have suffered. TThis in turn saves us all future premium increases by charging the insurers reasonable rates for our services rather than the "cowboy" outfits that just fleece them.
This means they step up to the plate early accepting their responsibility rather than fighting and delaying every claim.
As you well know the credit hire costs are well above the standard hire charges. If the customer went direct to third party insurer, if they accepted they were at fault they would have hired them an X5 for probably about £250 for three days as against the circa £700 they will end up paying via inyf
You also don't mention on the website that the customer could potentially be liable for the entire credit hire costs themselves if it went wrong. We have seen MSE members being billed thousands. I think the largest I have seen is over £150000 -
Lol rumbled!!!
It's true... In all honesty I did just start it up as a bit of free promotion but got bored with that as a couple of the posters were actually quite well informed and worth debating with. To be fair we don't even charge ABi rates a corsa is bills at £10 a day.
Insurers find it very difficult to get to the third party quick enough before a !!!!!! Turpin company gets hold of the claim, that's what we do were in their mind before the accident.
In simple truth we set it up because we repair 20000 cars a year and hate seeing insurers ripped off, they are our life blood.
We just take a very small fee for trying to channel into our mitigated channel!
Let's just drop the promotion side as appreciate that not cricket, and I haven't mentioned the brand name again!
Dacouch - ever thought of being the next poirot?0 -

It was not just me, you do realise that everyone instantly realised you were promoting your company.
Are you aware that you are breaking the law by coming onto a website and promoting a business you are associated with and pretending to be a satisfied customer.
Just for the record the three day car hire was a give away and also an accident on a roundabout.
Have a read of this and especially rule 18, it's a fairly recent law that has been brought in to protect against unfair business practices

Dacouch - your absolutely right.... We have massively discounted rates with insurers, mentioning the ABI rate to your average Joe soap would give an air of credibility. To the more informed I agree it's way too high.
We refer to the repair period as keys to keys, when we take them to when we give them back. It is our absolute goal to have the keys to keys as low as possible maximizing our efficiency and throughput
Were not interested in fleecing insures it's all about volume, and for volume you have to have eyeballs on websites!0 -
Dacouch - no just a bit of amusement on my iPad, but point taken. Wasn't very good at it anyway! Happy to just debate the issue from the inside0

Snappy MSE is all about helping other members, we do it because we like helping other people and being helped if we need advice. We have a great mix throughout the entire site of people who know the particular industry and normal customers which gives a good balance. People touting for business are not appreciated and are against the forum rules.
You could be a helpful poster for MSE with your knowledge or repairs and hire etc, why not join the forum and get involved. You are allowed (I think) to have a link to your website in your personal details (Not your signature). You may find that you gain some business if a poster has been impressed with your advice but you cannot tout for business.
There is also a forum on Cars etc with plenty of the public and motortraders helping each other out.0 -
Agreed - thats why I thought I'd open up rather than just log off0

This couldn't have been one of your cars then.
