AA renewal due 7th Jan on continuos debit on credit card. No renewal notice rec'd, tried to get through to AA to cancel a number of times, before 7th,but recorded message said that all operators dealing with emergency calls.
Discovered today money taken out of credit card. Spoke to AA at last and agreed to refund money. WAS TOLD THAT MANY RENEWAL NOTICES NOT SENT OUT DUE TO MIGRATION PROBLEMS WITH NEW COMPUTER SYSTEM.
So all AA members who may not wish to renew check when your cover expires as you may not get letter.
ps am now looking for cheapest and best cover. can anyone advise.

    Further to my post yesterday.
Rec'd AA renewal notice in post today 12jan. Notice dated 24th Dec.
I am hoping I will get my refund in full on my cancellation without a load of hassle.

I got this letter today as well. I will have to ring them and cancel it. I dont plan on paying their £20 cancellation fee either.

They say in my letter that my renewal date is the 11th Jan. But I actually started my insurance and breakdown cover on the 19th Jan last year.
So I will be cancelling before my renewal date. We shall see how it goes...

Hmm - got my letter this week - dated 13th Feb. Can't get through on the cancellations line or the helpful number Mr. AA concerned man left posted on here ( you are in a queue . . . ) so have sent an e-mail asking for written confirmation of cancellation. Shall see how it goes - my renewal due 18th March - shall be watching bank account closely . . .

    Ooh - have had a reply Sat 5th - maybe e-mail is the answer - we shall see . . . .
