I know it is not north west but haven primrose valley near scarborough is fantastic, its a really lovely site and loads to do around it. We are in lancashire too and it only took about 1.5-2 hours to get there, pretty much took us same time to get to presthaven sands. we are hoping to get primrose valley again this time.
Thanks i will have a look at this one.
Looking forward to new ventures

Dioes anyone know if Standard Plus includes linen, trying to work out if it's worth the extra £16 to upgrade
we upgraded last year when we booked at haven devon cliffs to standard plus, cant remember if it included linen, but the caravan we got was light years ahead of anything we got at other parks without upgrading, not sure if this would be the case at other parks, but in my opinion if you can afford to upgrade then do it, you wont be dissapointed, especially if you are looking to book in school holidays time, as it will still be a bargain

can anybody recommend any parks in south/southwest, we are based in somerset, and ideally would want to only travel upto a couple of hours, so would look at devon/cornwall/dorset/hants, ideally we would like to stay in a park that gives you lodges on a sun holiday as we never have stayed in a lodge, so would like to see what it is like, have seen that warmwell fits the criteria does anybody have any recommendations?

    TIA

We went to Parkdean Mullion in Cornwall last year, quite a nice park, loads of lovely beaches within driving distance. I would return, but it took us 6 hours to get there!:rotfl:

As Imentioned in a previous post I had problems trying to use someone elses priority reference number because the persons address did not match the bank card payment address.

In the end I used a family members priority number and they paid using their own bank card.

I did post this problem but only one reply and they seemed to think no one else has this problem.

It has put me off obtaining another priority code as I didn't receive one this time but I can't book unless online due to work annual leave policy. And Freecycle wont allow me to post a want anyway as I'm not saving anything fromlandfill by asking for a Reference. Thanks a lot Freecycle!
Like I said, you just type your own address in when you're on line. I have done this at least 5 times and never had any problems. I have also given my priority ref away twice and they have had no problems
  • I'm so excited I feel sick!

Haha! Me too oddly. It's sunny outside and a balmy 11 degrees!

I think it's put me in a good mood, making me feel like summer is round the corner! LOL! :D

we went there at the end of october last year, bearing in mind it was end of october and they knew at time of booking we would be taking 6 month old baby they made us pay an extra £61 on top to guarantee a caravan with heating:eek:, the caravan was filthy, yes the area was lovely i,e lizard, lands end etc, but we shall not be returning to that park

  • I have done lots of these sites over the years with the Sun. We use this priority form to book a Mon-Fri and then the next priority form to add the Fri-Mon to make a 7 day break, if that doesnt work, we just ring the site and normally pay around £60 to add 3 nights on to make a 7 night break.

    So far:-

    Parkdean Torquay - Good
    Woolacombe Bay - Good
    Twitchen park - Nice site
    Haven Weymouth - Really Good
Haven Kidwelly - disliked, out in the sticks too, needs refurb
Haven Skipsea - Nice site, remote though, and falling in the sea!
Trevelgue Newquay - Should be shut down, do not ever go
Bude Holiday Park - same owners as above but better kept site
    Haven Marton Mere - Good
Haven Perranporth - Loved this site

Hope you all get what Hols you want, am pressing "refresh" on the booking site!

That's terrible. Sorry to hear that.

I can only go by experience. We took our dog and expected a crummy caravan, but it was fine, the site was clean and the bar and restaurant looked newly refurbished.

Although, I will say, I left my expensive desk fan in the caravan and realised when half an hour in to the journey home. I rang them straight away and asked that they get it from the caravan and I would pay for it to be posted to me, but they said it wasn't in the caravan, when I knew full well where I had left it. Bet the robbing swines added it to the stock in the hire shop.

Maybe we should all do a letter each and then no ground gets duplicated :D

I said that earlier in the thread and suggested using this word list to do it
    http://www.morewords.com/wordsbylength/

I take it that as code words will continue to be published for another couple of weeks we only have to find one word out of the 14 or so yet to be published. its not just tomorrows word that will work is it?
