If using IE then it's probably simpler to get a viewer to view the contents of the index.dat file (which retains the full browsing history even when the user thinks they've cleared it).
Could you tell me how to do that
    Cheers Joby x

There are free utilities available, for example:

(though I've not tried this particular one)

    Hi thanks for the replys
I was looking to install one on my own pc, its nothing underhand just for a bit of reassurance and will be removed as soon as i feel ok about the situation.
    Cheers Joby x

I understand that you're doing this for the right reasons... but you can't say that it's not "underhand" to invade the privacy of someone over whom you have no legal authority. I'm not saying you shouldn't do it (or that you should!), but underhand tactics can backfire badly if you are discovered... or if you have to confront your sister with the evidence you have found.

Anyway, I hope you get the reassurance you're after and your sister is okay...

In which case, I'd suggest you look at http://explore.live.com/windows-live-family-safety which will give you general info about surfing habits as opposed to actual keylog data which is very hard to read normally. If you do decide to go with a keylogger, I'd suggest a $40 hardware one as they are foolproof.
