dave030445 wrote: »where did that come from what you mean i need to budget i never once said i dont get enough, sort it out
It came from your posts here:dave030445 wrote: »when they say you can live on £104 per week what about all the bills are they on top how can they say a family of 5 can live on £104 per week its beyond me.
And when it was pointed out to you that it isn't a family of 5 a expected to live on £104 per week, that was just the amount for you and your wife, you posted this:dave030445 wrote: »even just for me and the wife £104 per week is a joke
Which would suggest that you don't think it's enough. If you don't think it's enough, that is a clear indicator that you don't know how to budget (as other people manage it) and are possibly living beyond your means, and my suggestion is that you learn to budget. What do I mean by that? I mean you learn what is essential and what isn't. I mean you learn ways and means of saving money by taking advantage of what's on offer. That is the whole concept of money saving expert. It's not that horrifying a concept. It's a helpful suggestion, and there are plenty of boards around here where you can learn to budget more effectively. I've done it as have thousands of others who needed to learn more effective budgeting to make their lives more fulfilling by making their money work harder.0 -
nah nah nah you said i couldnt live on £104 per week plus four other benefits which is something i never said get your facts straight before having a pop at someone.AsknAnswer2 wrote: »Plenty of other couples manage it just fine; and the normal amount for a couple is £102.75. This is what I said, but you already know that because you quoted me on it.AsknAnswer2 wrote: »Plenty of other couples manage it just fine; and the normal amount for a couple is £102.75. Show me exactly where I said you couldn't live on £104 per week plus four other benefits. I didn't. I said that given you receive four additional benefits on top of your £104 per week, I suggest that you need to learn to budget. This was said in response to your post here:
Which in turn was a follow up to another post where you said that £104 per week for both you and your wife was a joke.
My post wasn't having a pop at you - it was a suggestion, based on information you have offered up freely, and one on which the ethos of this site is built.
You are the person who should get his facts straight. But given that you initially thought a family of 5 were expected to live on £104 per week, when the figures are easily sourced on the web (like this), I don't hold out much hope of you getting your facts straight on anything. For the avoidance of any doubt, that's me having a pop at you.0
