Outsourcing: The Know-how?

In the past few years, i have noticed that quite a lot of jobs were outsourced to developing countries from UK. I have rang amazon a number of times but the calls were picked in Phillipines and Ireland. Few months ago, my calls to Talktalk was either picked in South africa or India. Of course we knew it is because of cheap labour.

I have a very strong link with an english speaking developed countries who i believe will speak better english and more professionals than the present ones being used.

How could i get into this ladder?

How could i market that idea to those UK companies?

Cheers folks.

Have you any experience in the call centre / outsourcing industry? Have you any experience in business? Have you any experience with securing multi million pound commitments with companies at possibly the other side of the world to each other? Have you any evidence it will work? Have you any indemnity that if it doesnt work that you can be sued? Why is noone else doing it? How will you finance flying business execs around to world to show them these sites?

If you're really serious about this you will have to improve your own English before you try contacting any UK company.

"Rung" not "rang", "picked up" not "picked", "know" not "knew", "an" should not be used with a plural ("developed countries") "professionally" not "professional", "present ones being used"? countries don't speak any language, although people from the countries do. "on to" not "into".

Also Amazon, English, I, Africa all require capital letters.

    2) No
3)Yes but the only international business i have was in a an agency capacity.
4)It should work. I think i can get investors though i NEVER think it will be in the region of millions.

    Many thanks.

I am far far better than the errors you picked. I thought forum is informal.

It is but since your post was based on the ability to speak better English than the current call centres it was a point well made.

You are being very vague about your experience? Was it at Senior Team / Director level?

What do you mean 'agency capacity'?

If its not into millions, then trust me you are wasting your time. No one will be interested in making that much of a strategic move for anything less. If a UK company is charging £21 per agent hour (about right), then running a simple 20 agent campaign is worth £16,800 per week. Or £800,000 a year. Or £2.4 million over a three year term.

So if you can do it for half that (and you'll be doing well) then a company willing to allow you to outsource even a small 20 seater campaign on a 3 year term will be spending £1.2 million to do so.

Are they really going to do that with you, given your experience?

Do you not think that all the UK outsourcers with turnover totalling billions havent been / arent checking out every possible opportunity worldwide?

You're doing it again!!! A person is not "better than errors".

I would just forget this. Your English just isn't good enough to convince a UK company that you could deliver the goods. You also seem to have little idea of how big the pool actually is that you're hoping to swim in.

Finally, most customers of UK companies dislike foreign call centres, and some companies actually promote the fact their call centres are UK based. So foreign call centres may slowly be on the way out.

    Cheers.
