No notice required to cancel Orange broadband?!

I called to cancel my Orange connection this morning as I am moving house next month. The woman told me the cancellation would be effective immedietly and they don't have a notice period. I said I would call back next month when I leave as I thought that I had to give 30 days notice.

Can anyone confirm if this is correct? Can I cancel the day I move out & receive a refund of any time I've paid in advance? This is what the woman on the phone said but I'm not convinced it's true as I've never come across a no notice policy before!

    Hi athina,

Check out This Thread. I'd be very wary of anyone saying this. Phone back and see if you get the same story off of someone else and if you do get their name, call centre and log the time of the call so you can quote them if someone later says you need to give 30 days notice.

    Regards
