I'm due a new phone as my Sony Ericsson 705 is now dying fast and I'm struggling to decide which to get. I don't like touch screens or qwerty keypads, so I'm very limited to what phones i could get...
I have so far identified the Blackberry pearl 3G as a possibility, but it has mixed reviews and wondered if any major problems with it??
Other options are the nokia 6303i (i have previously had the 6300 which was great, but this almost seems a down grade on that). Or the Sony Ericsson Elm, however I'm a bit reluctant to have another sony as they seem to take forever to switch on and off amongst other glitches I found.
Any helpful suggestions??
My tariff is around £20 a month (unless I can get this reduced) and i have no intentions of paying any more than that, and if possible on an 18month contract.
Thank you

The Pearl 3G is a very good phone and the Blackberry email service is second to none."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

I have to say i had a pearl 3g for 2 days, was a great little phone and internet/emails were very fast, also had a great screen, really clear and as with all bb's very simple to use etc. I returned and exchanged mine under the 7 days return policy only due to the fact i had a bb curve for past 12 months and could not get used to the keypad, i have to say i found it difficult to text and email. But i would certainly recommend it, it was a lovely little smartphone and constructed lovely, I have to say i do think its more sorted to a female though.0

Thanks, for the info

I have to admit the non qwerty key pad is why i would want this phone.
I don't tend to use email or internet on my phone, and definitely not if I have to pay £5 a month for it. but the pearl 3g seems to be about the best option for a non touch screen phone.
I was also wondering on reliability of the phone (freezing, signal dropping and generally breaking) as my current phone has thrown up so many problems...0 -
3 have just announced a new plan for this phone
500 x net mins

£18 per month
The pearl has the same spec as the bold 9700 so it a cracking little blackberry0
