Fri 7th Jan - What small DFW things will you do today??

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Morning....it's Friiidaaaaaaaaaay:beer:
I have only worked one day this week so far so I feel a bit naughty cheering for the weekend already;)
Must be quick as only got up at 7, so got wet hair and no make up and I need to go in an hour:eek:
Here's my list:

Just a short list from me - yesterday i hardly got any of my list done!
Wasn't an NSD yesterday as i took the girls to swimming and remember i needed to buy a pair of goggles. They used to have lessons at different times so shared DD1's pair after DD2 lost hers. I forgot DD2 had movd up a group so they were swimming at the same time.
I was pleased though as they were only £6 which i was expecting a lot higher buying them at the pool!
Have a great day all xOrange Fairy

Good morning everyone, and thanks to milly for starting the thread.
I'm feeling kinda smug this morning. DH fought with the internet all day yesterday and couldn't get it to work. He decided, in his ultimate wisdom, that all the teenagers in the village were downloading games and it would be fine in a few days. Ha! I pulled the power cable out of the router, plugged it back in and voila - we have internet!! :rotfl:
I'm sorry, I can't live without you people for a whole evening
So far today I have:- run WM overnight on Economy 7
- checked banking
- checked for surveys
- filled in my 'self-sufficiency' diary with the number of eggs this week
- feed and water the chookies
- take most of my lunch to work - just have to buy two rolls
- charge mobile at work
- knit at lunchtime to avoid shops
- phone HMRC to find out where the £18 they owe me has got to - third time of asking!
- collect DGS on way home saving an extra trip tomorrow
- check how I'm doing on my monthly goals and my 101 things list - must catch up with my followers as they started after me and have crossed off far more!
- try to get through the day with no tears
:(

Is it me or is it like freezing? Not going on the stop smoking thread cos I don't think I quite fit their criteria right now (cos am using e-cig) and have too many bad memories of 'not quite fitting in' on another thread last year to warrant pursuing it. I guess everyone is different and they're probably lovely ppls but I just don't want to get my fingers burnt again...
So another easy day - not least cos of hardly any sleep last night (think it was the not 1 but 2 coffees at 3am ) but anyhow we'll see what I get done. Lost one of my e-cig chargers at 5am so tidied up the cables by the sofa trying to find it (eventually found it :j) and discovered a whole wee pile of spilt tobacco and other nasties which must be hoovered today...
Will post my agendas later. I don't think I had one really yesterday. Yesterday was a little crazy and I got very down in the evening but right now I'm okay cos am looking forward to making my t-shirt bags tomorrow and like going to hunt out spare fabric and sewing books for teaching myself how to make french corners

Stitching witch - you have my commiserations over your job - sometimes I want to just tell my bosses to stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Unfortunately, rent has to be paid etc((hugs))
Yes, TFI Friday! Been a bit of a week, one way or another. But am actually quite proud of my MSE efforts this week. Even getting OH into the swing of it!

* Do any one-poll surveys that come through
* Packed lunch for all the family today
* Storecupboard dinner
* Sort food cupboard out tonight
* Chase paypal for removal of restriction of access to account - I've provided everything they want but they are still not removing restrictions:mad:
