Life in a cottage garden. BBC2

Thanks for the info, I have an unloved cottage garden that I am going to rejuvenate this year so am really looking forward to this. Hope she gives some traditional veg patch tips.
The only thing I remember about Pebble Mill was wanting it to finish as I think Watch with Mother was on afterwards

TV companies like the tried and tested. If a daytime one became popular there would be a rash of them, probably with quirky characters like the tv chefs. Remember the torrent of `property !!!!!!` programmes in the last ten years? Now the house price boom is over, more people are seeing their home as a place to live, and their garden as a mini break.
who knows, one of us could star? make a little video and send it to some tv company, you never know.Freedom is the freedom to say that 2+2 = 4 (George Orwell, 1984).

:rotfl: the only way I would be on tv would be if they wanted to commission a programme about a bumbling idiot knocking over pots and falling over a la some mothers do have them! However i am also for a garden programme. I like Carol Klein, her voice really relaxes me. Can't wait to watch it tonight!Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790

Ooh ...davesnave would be very good at this. His career must have given him great presenting skills and the plants I've seen of his are fab.

Was the Pebble Mill prog. the one with Bob and Cyril ? I used to love them , they got me started in taking a proper interest in how to grow stuff.0

Let's hope Carol learned from Toby's embarrassment in the wreckage of the dumbed-down GW and retained some editorial control so it's not at CBeebies level - "Aren't flowers great!"
P.S. If you hear a lot of gurgling, you haven't left a tap running, it's just Carol
Edit: Oh, dear
. 1/10 for trying, see teacher. Obviously CK had been trying to give some useful facts but it was all ineptly edited in favour of 'moody' camera-work that scuppered GW. 0 -
I missed it.I hate the friday night slot as I always have to do a train station run.

I loved it
thought it was really good, well, Carol was really good in as much as she really knows her plants. Plus the fact that she still enjoys gardening in an open shed in the dark.
I've gardened in our shed in the dark, but its not that open, and I don't need a torch to get back either.
*Yes, I did turn of GW before shouting at the TV

I enjoyed it here as well, watched in on iplayer today.
I think Carol can bit a bit marmite ish either love or hate lol. Found the same with monty d some people love some hate lol.
I remember pebble mill, can say it was much different from this morning, same sort of format but BBC version. Think this morning took that magazine type programme and revamped it was after tM came along PM seemed to die off (although my memory is hazy around this as I was only born in the earlies 70's).
Is it sad that I am so covetous of Carol's shed lol. Would rather have that than a holiday abroad how sad am I :rotfl:.
