You need to stay positive.... what about taking your boy out (on a harness) and letting him miauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu around so perhaps she can hear him?

Hope she gets back home soon....such a pretty girl....

One of mine is like that too - does not like to be picked up/stroked etc. She comes to me when she wants to but I can not go to her - she runs.. bless her, was like that since I got her as a baby.... loving in her own way though...

he would be too scared to go outside, if I walk with him in my arms away from the house he will run out my arms back inside and its been raining since morning here which hasn't helped trying to find her 15mins back.

I have also left some little outside but with the rain I am assuming the smell aint going to get far...

Have you made some posters with her photos/descrition and your contact details?

If she is not microchipped and someone finds her/hands her over to a rescue - you may have bigger problems finding her then.

You need to do it quick.

Ask neighbours to check sheds/garages, post through all letterboxes on your street and streets nearby, not just in shop windows....

    Hope she is found soon
  • My daughters indoor car escaped a while back, was away for 3/4 days then reappeared, unfortunately then gave birth to 6 kittens on my daughters birthday..

Hope she comes back soon, if she doesn't like being picked up then that might make it more unlikely that someone has picked her up and taken her.

    Good luck

Aww hun, I really feel for you. I have an indoor cat and she has gone walkabouts 3 times (although that's in 11 years!) They are much smarter then you think though and even if they don't go out they can still figure out where they live. Make sure you contact the local vets and the RSPCA in case anyone takes her to them and put up flyers at your local shops and round the local area. I also found a cat a few years ago and those were the places I was trying when looking to track out her owner. Does she wear a collar at all? Just keep going out looking for her, since she's in heat then unfortunately she's probably looking for a boyfriend and will show up when she's found one and is in the family way.

Poor you, I know just how you are feeling-you've seen my thread about My cat going missing.

Mrs Tibbs is a very 'pampered' cat, she likes being warm and has a basket in more than one room as she is quite particular about being cosy. I didn't think she would survive being out in the rain and cold but she was gone 3 days! I was convinced she'd been found by someone who wanted to keep her. She's a pedigree British Shorthair and is very distinctive looking and people are quite taken aback when they see her.

She may have been spooked by noises or other animals and is hiding somewhere.

Please don't give up, I had all but resigned to thinking I would never see her again but we all know what happened there!

Keeping everything crossed for you, so sorry to hear this x
There used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.

    I FOUND HER!!!

At around 7pm I had came home and the first thing I did was search the street with no joy.
I then went home and checked on my other cat and was going with a friend by foot to another house, when 3 doors away from myne I heard a 'MEOWWWW'.
I went quiet to find out exactly where she was and again from by hearing my voice she was meowing.
I checked behind the bin and sill no sign of her and alast, behind a car tyre against the wall was my shaken up cat.

Her body was warm but slightly damp but her feet were dirty and wet.
I am not sure if she was there since yesterday but thats where she decided to shelter from the bad weather.

Just an hour before I had gone round posting posters of her in hope of some one finding her.

Is there chances she might be pregnant?

I didn't get her sprayed before as I didnt want to see her become depressed or bad tempered as some cat owners have told me but after this event, I guess its the best thing to do.

I am making an appointment for her tomorrow and then get them both chipped as well.

Thank You all so much for your help, support and advice!!!
  • I'd put money on her being back because the need has been done more than once.

You've got 63 days give or take, for the kittens. (or can be sorted by the vet in the next week or so)

And, for the record, spaying can improve cat tempers as they don't have to think about male cats every waking hour of their life anymore.

Check her vaccination status as well, along with evidence of bites on her neck (abscesses are vile) and flea infestation.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Spaying won't change her temperament. I had my female cat done and her personality hasn't changed at all. Also, it will reduce the risk of her disappearing again when she is next in season.

I'm delighted she is back - you must be so happy.

Definitely proceed with the spaying operation asap. She may well be an indoor cat, but she's also a budding escape artist, so better to be safe than sorry.

She's beautiful by the way, and so is her little feline friend.
