Got an Xperia Phone? You won't be getting any more upgrades from SE
Sony Erricson have repeated what they did with the Xperia X1, promised upgrade to the OS then decided not to bother.
Hexus is reporting that any SE Xperia phone that was released in 2010 (X10 and X8) WILL NOT get any more Android updates. 2.1 is as high as it will go officially.

SE's offical statement is
"We believe that with the current hardware platform an overhaul of the underlying core OS wouldn't drastically improve the user experience. Android OS 2.1 coupled with Sony Ericsson's proprietary upgrades and superior entertainment hardware (8.1 mp camera and HD video recording) delivers a user experience that is on par with, and in many cases better than, a vanilla installation of Android 2.2."
