Hi -

Just wondering if you could advise me on what a reasonable cost for tracking my tyres would be? And to fix the issue if needed?

Thanks!

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    Easy

To see which wheel is out (fronts only) point the steering wheel straight ahead.

Look at the wheels, one will probably be straight and the other will be pointing outwards/inwards. Thats the one you adjust

    Jack car
    Unbolt wheel

Look for this behind the disc brakes (looks dif on all cars though)

    red%20megane%20ns%20track%20rod%20end.JPG

Unbolt the bolt that you can see in the pic and the whole arm should drop.

Just behind the track rod end (black in the pic) is a locking nut, release that and the whole track rod end will then turn clockwise/anti clockwise. (this track rod end has a dif method though)

Adjust it one turn at a time. Clockwise will turn the wheel out, Anti clockwise will turn the wheel in

One turn at a time. If you need more than 2-3 turns then the inner tie arm could be bent and need replacing

Good lord Rossy - I really don't think I could even attempt it!

My garage was going to charge £25 to get mine done which seems fair given what you guys have said.... well I suppose "fair" is relative...

    Yeah thats good.

My method is the home made effort tbh and will never be 100%

just make sure they adjust the rods if it's out and not just tap them :p
