Hi, just looked at my IVT today and noticed the above error! I have acknowledge but it still appears. I turned the off/on button and after the "countdown" the erroappears again. Just after the countdown and before the error I hear a water running noise.
    Can anyone advise?
  • Hi JHen, That's caused by the electrical side of the compressor motor. Did you reset Fuse 1 after acknowledging the alarm? Might just be intermittent thing. If not, then the contactor (relay) is faulty, or there's a lose electrical connection to the compressor (worst case of course the compressor itself is faulty), but hopefully it's a cable or the contactor.

Hi Beardy, I've just reset this before seeing your reply. I saw this was suggested in a previous post.
All appears to be ok now.

    Thanks for the prompt reply,
  • Excellent. Glad it's worked. Obviously if it keeps happening it's a bigger problem, but fingers crossed.

Seems I have little to do now, but will keep looking.

I am sure I will have some questions for you soon. I have just installed a greenline 11E with the Rego637 controller. Bought it off ebay and have now connected it up to my existing heat store feeding mostly radiators and some UFH. Originally running on E11 with 9KW of immersion heating. A great believer in putting on a jumper if cold and have two wood burners and own supply of logs which helps a lot. Running it for hot water only so far but nights are getting colder and the HP is keen to heat the house as well.
I am using OpenHAB to monitor the HP, Heat Meter and electrical use. No additional heat allowed (so far) and currently using the Ext input to only enable HP during low rate periods. Will be some months before I find out if it is effective at keeping the house warm but it has got to be better than the current direct immersion heater approach.

Hi The level on the expansion tank on my IVT has recently been running quite low. On two occasion this year I have needed to top this up with water. Is this something I should been concerned about ?

Might need some help understanding how the heat demand is managed. As I mentioned I have connected up OpenHAB to monitor the HP and with my heat store as a buffer us an external radiator circulation pump (G1). Up to now only Hot Water required but last night heating was called for when the outside temp dropped below 10C. The Radiator Return Target Temp (T1) was 13.4 whilst the Return Temp measured 20.3C when the circulation pump started. The pump stopped when the rad return dropped to 38C when the target was 14.8C.
Am I misunderstanding what the rad return target is doing, I thought if the Rad return was above the target there would be no heating requirement?

It could be just expansion of the outdoor pipes. If you have a pressure gauge fitted just make sure it is around 1 bar when not operating and 0.5 when running.

Is the sensor connected to the return flow line? From how you are explaining it seems to be on the heating outflow instead.
