Don't even bother getting one without GPS!! Not worth it. I had a snooper neo S3, which cost me £99.99 new 2 years ago. Was brilliant, saved my licence countless times. It also has a laser detector on it, which definately saved my licence 3 times!
I have got rid of it now, as bought sat nav, and has all the speed cameras on, though now laser detection.

Do not bother getting one with out GPS, or everytime you drive past boots / somerfields etc, it'll go off.

You could put nail varnish on your liscence plate. That makes it so the camera just gets a bright flash and cant read your plate.

Of course this is illegal and i wouldnt advise anyone to do that.

    But its v.cheap

Yes, keep your eyes on the speedo at all times, not the road ahead!

i have got a road angel classic and a new road angel, but still got caught by a bobby with RADAR GUN ,i hardly ever use them now and you have to pay a subscription to update them ,unless your close to loosing your liscence i would rather put the money in the bank in case you get a speeding fine

Avoid origin B2 an expensive piece of junk (I had one unit which was replaced by another and another.... 5 in total).

Go for Road Angel Compact circa £150. Well worth it.

Save your money and a possible life by sticking within the speed limits.
I was knocked down as a child and I am only here to tell the tale because the driver had done so.

I think anyone who buys/sells any equipment that detects speed cameras may end up with blood on their hands.

If you are going to buy a toy then it has to be GPS or it's not worth it. GPS plus laser jamming if you're going to go for the max. However, it won't stop you being VASCAR'd (stopwatch between two markers).

I don't use any toys; I believe that observation and alertness is your no1 method and it's safer too.

Sadly, the way things are at the moment, the emphasis is on catching easy targets rather than concentrating where the maximum safety improvement is to be made. There is also a trend to just slap speed limits everywhere regardless of how well they match the conditions. So you end up with 2 lane dual carriagways through open countryside with 40 or 50 limits when they functioned fine with NSL for many years.

I abhor speeding in 30 limits and residential areas, but you're most likely to be caught taking advantage of empty motorways, where the statistical risk increase with speed is small. Not many pedestrians on the motorway, yet a favourite spot is a bridge on the M4 in South Wales.

Overall I think you don't need any warning toys. Just stay alert and pick your locations
