Roger Waters pre-sale tickets

Touring is the one time most artists make money.
Pink floyd certainly made plenty of money from merchanidse sales at all their concerts (they only ever claim to have lost money on the Wall shows anyway).
Pink Floyd made some great music - waters on his own makes awful music (when he's not shamelessly just doing floyd stuff - trying to get as many years/££££ out of it as possible). He's also a nasty little man, least of all for his stance on fox hunting:
"Roger Waters, former vocalist and bass player in the British band Pink Floyd, for his announcement that he will be taking up residence in the United States out of “disgust” over the recently passed ban on British fox hunting. Waters, who performed at concerts to benefit the pro-hunting Countryside Alliance, told the Sunday Times that the hunting ban has made him ashamed to be English."
Besides, Syd Barrett was pink floyd. RIP Syd..ॐ Signature Removed by Someones Mum. ॐ0 -

Waters wrote most of the Pink Floyd music so he is fully entitled to use it in his shows or any other way he wishes.
Sure Barrett was there at the beginning but if he hadn't left then we might never have had the brilliance of albums such as Dark Side of the Moon, or the majesty that is The Wall.0 -

And he will carry on doing so for the next 30years no doubt.
His last original and creative thought was 20years ago so he is doing nothing more than cashing in on when he was good (and he was good as part of a group, alone he's awful).Sure Barrett was there at the beginning but if he hadn't left then we might never have had the brilliance of albums such as Dark Side of the Moon, or the majesty that is The Wall.
I'll take the brilliance of piper at the gates over the wall anyday. DSOTM was definitely the best post-barret floyd, but it was still just twiddly overlong old-man prancing about on stage prog-rock - it just managed to do it better than it had been done before.
And barrett never left, he was forced out by waters.
Waters is the "paul mccartney" of the pink floyd.ॐ Signature Removed by Someones Mum. ॐ0 -
i heard that the last pink floyd tour in 94 was the most profitable tour ever upto that point in time.0

...and who told you that???
The Wall tour lost loads of money. It was one of the most expensive shows ever put on. They basically built a huge wall and demolished it at the end, and there were giant puppets, hydraulic stages, and all the usual Pink Floyd lights and lasers. Richard Wright (Pink Floyd's keyboard player and founder member) fell out with Roger and quit/was fired after The Wall was released. He toured out of contractual commitments but was paid a salary for the tour and did not have to pay for the cost of the tour, so he was the only one to make any money out of it.0 -

I'm not a fan of Pink Floyd and won't be going to the Roger Waters' concert but saying his last original or creative thought was 20 years ago is a bit much. He recently released an opera so is still musically stretching himself and being creative. How many people have such a wide sweep of genres to their name.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0 -

what?? where do you get this tripe from?? Barrett left the band because of his "interest" in psychedelic drugs. Waters and Barrett were close, if you listen to a lot of Floyd songs that Waters wrote you would know that a lot of it is about/dedicated to Syd.0
