It's quite possible to stay very close to the Gap for a fraction of the cost and meet very friendly local Bajans rather than simply other English holidaymakers.
I would also recommend hiring a car for a couple of days to explore the rest of the island as well as using the local reggae buses to get around.
That is, of course, whether you wish to discover the real Barbados or merely Frinton-on-Sea in the Caribbean.0 -
