    If you want to speak to random people, there is chatroulette. Never used it before but I believe its voice, image and sound and you get paired up with someone random and you have to both try and be interested or you get disconnected or something like that.

    Just looked at Chatroulette. Oh dear. A few randoms later and I had seen WAY too much of quite a few men.

    i think that the old prodigy.net chat rooms have had a bit of a resurgance.
