Chat Rooms?

I'm very old and have been using the internet a long time. I used to chat on Compuserve, then Yahoo and even IRC etc and even met some interesting people. I met (in person) some scary ones (girls) as well.

I occasionally find myself at a lose end and wouldn't mind chatting again, but everything has changed. Where do people go to chat these days?

I used to use Yahoo back in the day, well around 1998/99 to be precise, in the 'Down the Pub' rooms.

  • If you want to speak to random people, there is chatroulette. Never used it before but I believe its voice, image and sound and you get paired up with someone random and you have to both try and be interested or you get disconnected or something like that.
