O2 at CPW keep calling me - renegotiate my contract?

O2/CPW have called me about 5 times today, but I know its them so i'm ignoring it for now.

I'm about to finish my 24-month sim-only retention deal with O2 at CPW. Only £5 a month for 400 mins and 400 texts. Since taking out the contract, I now pay an extra £7.50 a month for mobile internet bolt-on, and so my total bill is around £13.50 a month.

I thought this was good, but since checking it would seem not.

Should I:

- attempt to re-negotiate with O2 my contract for all of the above?
- move to Vodafone for 300 mins/Unlimited texts/500mb web for approx £12 a month (12 month contract, 20% off retail price)
- move to 3, which offers 600 mins/3000 texts/1gb web for only £10 month (12 month contract)

Tesco currently have a £10 a month 30 day rolling contract which gives 500 mins, unlimited texts (fair use policy approx 3500 texts per month) and unlimited data (fair use policy is 500mb per month).

p.s., Tesco uses the O2 network.
  • Woah, now thats cheap. I wonder if O2 would match the deal and beat the price if I signed a longer contract?

are you sure this isnt £15? ive just looked cause we are also thinking about it but cant see that £10 deal

ive heard tesco have a good reputation can anyone confirm this?

sorry i have just found it http://www.tescomobilepaymonthly.com/product-page.aspx?!!!!!1d4c0e9f-675e-411f-8400-dd424cb8f9d9&so=1
  • the tesco mobile 1 month rolling iPhone plan is £15 - the standard 1 month contract is £10. Personally, i cant see much difference between the two except the price. I have an iPhone and i think i'm going to go for the 10/month. Probably means no visual voicemail though not that I am fussed about that.

I am going to see how low O2 will go to keep me as a customer first! :D
