I'm a beginner R+R, only done a couple of stores with small items.

Whilst doing some geniune shopping for a few items in Tesco I was looking for the yellow SEL. I noticed about 5 in total where they expired yesterday, one was from October. If I threw a few of these in my basket am I likely to get overcharged?

Possibly. Hard to say with out the detail - same offers may be extended or reduced further. Worth checking.

just a quick point I used to work for tesco and love seeing them get their come uppance but I'd just like to remind people not to lose the plot with the customer assistants. They are only doing their jobs, usually with inadequate training and support from even more inadequate management.
So by all means lose the head and make the stand with the managers but give the customer assistants a break.

I'd ask for a bit more then a webpage address.. newbie or not ;)
  • The number of misprices I spotted in the hard back section this week is nothing short of a shambles, an embarrassment and laughable
At least half of them had mispriced stickers to SEL's most of them a penny £9.96/£9.97
Gordon Ramsey was £3 if I remember correctly. Jamie Oliver on its own stand with 6 inch high lettering £12.97 on the stand and £12.96 SEL. What a joke
Everyone is an undercharge so no R&R. But it just goes to show how bad & incompetent Tesco's pricing structure is. Whether is done in house or via a supplier is irrelevant. In this modern age of sophisticated computer systems companies can share the same electronic information. The drawback of this is the initial cost of setting the system up to begin with. As Tesco obviously puts profits above charging their customers the correct prices this will not happen so they might as well carry on updating their prices by writing them on the back of a fag packet.

£1.1 bn profit in 6 months

No f***ing wonder you robbing b******s!

Fair point - I'd say 95% of the CS staff I've encountered have been pleasant and professional.

i'd say 75-80% of CS staff i've encountered have been mean, horrible, rude, twisted individuals (all women too) who try to wiggle out of R&R and over charge me for goods i've bought.
