any chance of getting out of a contract?

hi guys,

please be kind as i know this is a long shot but thought id ask anyway.

does anyone know if i can end a contract with 3 early and if so what i would have to pay. i got my contract last may so still have a year and 4 months left on it and its been a nightmare to be honest. My phone is currently away to be fixed but i dont hold up much hope as my friend who was had the same phone with 3 had the same problems.

i am obviously willing to give the phone back but have asked in store and they are not willing to let me change it for another model even if i pay some extra anyone know if i could buy my way out?

Typically it's months left x monthly rental, but you'll get a reduction as you don't have to pay VAT and maybe a discount, so 16 x your monthly bill. Giving the phone back will have no effect, most phones (other than iPhone) don't hold value well, although you could sell it on Ebay and use that to ofset the early termination fee.

if it's just the phone thats the issue another one on Three as PAYG may work better for you but i'd you've had it 6 months it should be under warranty still if it's faulty.

Three have recently changed the agreement with Orange,and if you have no coverage you may get it cancelled for free, but you need to call and ask them

thanks i thought it was something like that - it might be worth a shot saying ive no coverage because i think a lot of the problems are actually with the network not letting me make calls n not getting texts at the right time. it does seem sometimes ive no connection and the internet connection doesnt work much in my home. its ashame ive never had problems before with phones and this is my first contract but i suppose you live and learn

What do you mean by 'at the right time'? They have 24hrs to deliver a text.
