I have stopped trading for a while as my 1 and 2 *s are on the limits on dispatch time, auctions say I post with 3 days but 99% go the next day.

To help them 'drop off' you need to sell more not less.

I post next day and still get wombats who do not understand that the dispatch time is from when ordered to when posted, NOT how long it takes to get there.

Well that would push the percentages down but right now I am on the number and the percentage is above so one more and I in trouble. I am not a big seller and don't have enough to sell to turn the percentage enough for it to make a difference, but if I wait the time period which is monitored moves on and they will drop off eventually.

I may add a note to my thankyou slips along the lines of "please check the postage date on the packaging before marking dispatch time, a late delivery doesn't always mean a slow dispatch"

i sold an iten on sunday, posted it yesterday when the post office reopened

i sent them a message yesterday saying it's posted and i've upgraded to special delivery, today i get a neutral fb, saying great item, but slow postage

what the heck do buyers expect of us

Sounds malicious to me. Have you had any issues in the past that it may be linked to?

However, if you contact customer support and give them the tracking details from the Special Delivery number to prove next day delivery, then this can be removed. Just make sure you get through to the Dublin call centre. If one of teh foreign sounding people answer, then hang up and start again.

I would be furious having gone the extra mile to give the best customer service.
I had one buyer who gave me a neutral feedback saying “I have not unwrapped it yet to try out”
Unfortunately some people are poorly educated but given the same access to the feedback system. I would make a complaint to Ebay. Good luck.

Ebay should do a test when newbies leave adverse feedback then and only then once done and contacted seller can they leave feedback

Obviously it is unreasonable of the buyer to do as they have done.

However, there was a similar thread recently when I made the point that I think it is a little silly to advertise items to end when it is not possible (for whatever reason) to post the next day.

In some cases expecting the customer to read, think or reason is asking too much!

Like it or not we have become an "I want it NOW society". Add this to "I know my rights" and every other TV program or newspaper (and this website) encouraging people to complain and this is where you get.

None of this justifies it but why make it any harder than it is?

One test could be to ask: "Have you ever appeared on the Jeremy Kyle Show.

Whe-hey! That's a great idea! I only watch Jeremy Kyle when my self esteem is really low - it makes me feel like I'm a 'normal' person!
