K750i questions please
I'm still using a SE K750i. I thought of doing an update but am unsure of the benefits as according to SE, I would have to find a PC to do it on (I use mac: not compatible) and would lose my settings and saved text messages - unless anyone on here knows how to back those up? What's the point of doing an update on a basic handset please*?
I occasionally use it for web browsing but my SIM only package has no data included so it's the odd (v slow loading) page on train times or something, that's all.
I also asked SE support about sending longer texts as I have it set to allow longer messages but they are still way shorter than many I receive so often end up sending 2 texts. SE say this is a vodafone issue (?).
*which manufacturers (not iPhone obviously) fully support mac OSX? Nokia? Samsung? thanks. SE say none of their handsets, even recent ones can be updated on a mac.

Fully support probably none at all .
From various user forums they are all hit and miss with non Windows .
Might pay to look at each manufactures forum and see the problems with using a non Windows PC .

is there any real point in bothering to upgrade an old handset? I wondered if it may cause more problems than it solves0
