I live in a small village and cannot get any of the internet deals available. But TT say I can pay an extra £10 on top to receive broadband and phone etc. Is this still going to be the best option? I'm currently with BT @£18 P/M and Equitalk for phone.
E/T is approx £30 P/M but does include mobile calls
BT as above.
Thanks!

Do some research on https://www.adslguide.org.uk first.
I use CPW for my phone connection, but wouldn't dream of using them for broadband.
At face value, CPW's landline connection, broadband and phone call package for twenty quid or so looks like a good deal. But can they deliver it to your satisfaction?
I use a different supplier for broadband - and pay an extra five quid or so a month extra (than if I'd used CPW). This should tell you that I'm either:-
a) A mug.
b) Stupid.
c) Loaded.
or
d) None of the above.0 -
If you're thinking of joining TalkTalk, then seriously reconsider. I joined at the beginning and was really happy but now have problems getting on to Broadband (this is my first successful attempt for nearly two weeks) and despite numerous phone calls, lasting anything from 25 mins to 60 mins hanging on for them to reply, I've only managed to get through 3 times. Each time they've said someone from the 2nd line technicians will call me back. All I've had so far is two texts from them asking me if I still need help, but no phone call. As if to add insult to injury, my telephone line is now playing up and often cuts me off in the middle of a call. They need to cut their adverts on tv and spend the money employing more technical staff so they can sort out the customers they have got first!
I've emailed their CEO and sent emails complaining, but no response. I can't even cancel my membership because no one answers the phone! Can anybody tell how frustrated I am?!!0 -
I can only reciprocate what the poster above has said. I joined in August and my phone was stitched within 2 weeks. My broadband switched at the end of August but there was a lag time of around 5 days before I could use it. For 6 weeks I was a happy customer but then the network upgrade LLU was carried out and I have not had broadband since. I have found it impossible to sort out the problem with Talk Talk since, despite spending hours on the phone - getting throught on a few rare occasions to Indian call centres on crackly lines, where I spend time explaining that the only error I have is that my ADSL does not seem to be enabled as their modem or my router can't detect an ADSL network. Supposedly some one is going to call me but no one has so far and after 10 days I now feel powerless and irrate.0

I suppose the only good thing is that TT have promised to refund & release anyone thatis not getting the service they signed up for. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

In reply to what Linnie and mce102 say I have had a lot of problems with TT. I was with Onetel (Who was brilliant) who TT bought out. I have gone back to using Onetel's modem which has improved the situation. Prior to this, I found that if I clicked on Start then Help & Support the problem was solved without TT and less expensive just by clicking on what the problem was.
The other way to get shut of them and to guarantee a reply is to cancel the direct debit. Even if they took you to court you can argue they did not give the service thay said you would get so try to claim back all you paid.
TT are still buying up companies. I wonder what the Office of Fair Trading would say???
Best of Luck0
