Can anyone tell me what the 2010 and 2011 rates of duty were/are on home heating LPG please?

Hi Bruce,
The VAT on LPG is 5%.
According to the Chancellor's statement back in the summer it was only the main rate of VAT - i.e. 17.5% - that was rising.
Happy New Year! (at least LPG won't be getting more expensive ...! Well, not because of a tax increase, though we can be sure the suppliers will tell us endless reasons why it has to go up. Though when these reasons go in reverse - e.g. exchange rate, general oil prices, ... - strangely LPG rarely follows).0
