Pickle you norty thing - two words to ignore BOOTS SALE!!! lol

Red i'm also obsessed with my figures, debt, debt free date. As others have said there's worse things to be obsessed with, and you could even be obsessed with spending it all which is just beyond comprehension these days.

Spending money...............LOL only after several sleepless nights, consultation and contemplation!

Got mortgage statement this morning, we now owe £153k and have 20 years left. Made for depressing reading as I swapped to interest only when LBM occurred. However I am not going to obsess about it because it will be gone long before 20 years is up, plan to clear it started March 2013 in ten years, just in time for my 55 birthday, which means it will be gone 7 years early. Then I will work on retirement plan.

Do you think I am wishing my life away. LMAO

Pickle - got over Boots Sale a few sales ago...................now if I need it, I buy it and only then. However in our mutual continuing search for good foundation I am going back to Daily Wear once this revlon crap is done, a definate false economy.

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

After all the money I spent today, I now have enough points to get a bottle on points, Reddie! Silver linings and all that...;)

Well Red - havent you been a busy girl! I think its a great idea to combine the figures - otherwise you know how much is coming in, you know how much is going out, but you cant see the figures adjusting with the according speed! Now the figures are higher, but in turn the progress will be faster too.

    Keep it up xx

Oh and as for foundation - I ahd a makeover in New York about 18 months ago, never been a fan of foundation and barely ever wore it at all as I hate the look and feel of make up on my skin - however the Mac was a revelation! I cant remember how much it was now (which I guess is not terribly helpful - lol) but she said to apply with a brush (and I know that was £25 - gulp!) so the finish will be light, smooth and last for ages. She was right - I had the first bottle for over a year and wore it most days. I mentioned it to my friend who is a beautician and she ordered my next bottle on her discount - worth every penny for a good foundation - it takes years off (and heaven knows I need that these days)

    Thank you ladies..................

EB - was coverted to a brush a couple of years ago, fabulous item and yes it does lose that 'cake bake' look!

Mac Foundation is new to me...............will look for a sample. I have rosy cheeks and I don't care that I look 'healthy' (as per mum) I hate them thus need good coverage but not one that aspires to work on Elizabeth Arden counter (no offence)

Pennies - ggggrrr. Danger day in danger week. One shop supposed to pay on 20th via bank credit and cheque written anticipating it coming in. That was a mistake. Was the money sent, was it !!!!. Did I have to write a personal cheque to ensure business payment cheque covered, yes I did. Do I have money to cover cheque, no I don't! Will I have it by time cheque hits personal account, I would bloody need to.

Very frustrating but taught me to no longer depend on shop crediting our account on time. And yes I would love to give them a hard time, but then they could say, don't bother delivering to us again...............they really do have us by the short and curlies!

Another shop folded yesterday, they owe us £90 but have done for a long number of months. I really didn't expect to get it and considering when we stopped delivering because they were such slow payers I got £1000 from them, I can live with £90.

what is your business red? (sorry if I should know that already)

I will ask my make up lady if she has any samples - not sure if she carries them or not, but if so I will get a couple and send them to you - I dont suppose colour will matter so much at this stage as texture!

    Awh thank you EB.

We have a manufacturing bakery...........small one. We converted our garage into a bakery, and DH who is a chef, started this business 3 years ago. He makes old fashioned pies, without preservatives or artifical flavouring...........apple, rhubard, crumbles, and flavoured pies such as apple and raspberry, apple, sultana and cinnamon etc. He sells them through local retailers.
