Orange Upgrades

My contract with Orange ends in early March and I have a Blackberry Bold 9000 with them plus 200 mins and unlimited Texts for £9.76 p/m and £4 internet usage.
I spoke to Orange and they can't offer me an "upgrade" on the Blackberry as I am a low user.
I spoke to Retentions and they said that the best idea is to give 30 days notice to leave in Feb and leave it at that!!! as the best offer they can give me is £20 per month plus £5 internet and £150 for a HTC Desire this seems unfair to me
I know they need to recoup the price of the phone but a large increase and a cost for the phone seems wrong.
Any advice is great thanks
