Still no assessment

Had my lovely caseworker on the phone again to confirm she now has income details from his employer :j
She has, however, said that there is some issue at the moment with the computer not allowing her to input it to finalise the calculation as it is still saying flat rate. She says this sometimes happens when people come off benefits and has asked for some 'behind the scenes' computer help to get this corrected so she can push the assessment through, and then she will ring me back to discuss the amount and the payments. She is also going to phone my ex herself on Friday regards making the card payment.
I'm seeing the light starting to flicker at the end of the tunnel :T
EDIT:
Just had a call back and the assessment has been done - £39 per week  :j:T
She will phone me back shortly with a breakdown of how and when I will receive payment.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Thats brilliant news!! Its amazing how quickly they can do the actual 'assessment' calculation its all the other bits inbetween that seem to take the time lol!! We are still waiting for our actual breakdown letter but as they are going to owe us money, I'm not holding my breath lol0 -
If it helps, when my husband was owed some money back, we had it back within about a week of the letter arriving, by cheque. We didn't expect it so soon, but it was 'only' £110 so not a great deal for them to stump up I suppose. I've never really understood how the deal with overpayments - do they pay it out and then claim it back off the PWC at a rate they can afford, or do they have to have it back from the PWC first?Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

I think it depends - normally if the case is still ongoing, they tend to just reduce the payments that the NRP has to make for a period of time, until the overpayment is cancelled out. If they actually issue a refund to an NRP, and they have already paid that money to the PWC, they (the Secretary of State) pays the NRP...they then attempt to recover it from the PWC.0 -
The reason he isn't giving him what they want is because he thinks he will get away with paying nothing.0

My assessment letter has arrived! Backdated to 4th January, which incidentally is neither the date he started work, or the date they were informed by me of him being in work and therefore requesting the reassessment! Not sure where they plucked that date from - perhaps that is when his JSA officially ended according to the computer? I think he was effectively 'laid off' over Xmas (agency work) so maybe he did a rapid reclaim for the Xmas period, and then as of 4th Jan he was back at work? Would make sense!
Anyway, at least I can now work out the arrears I am due and see if it tallies with the amount they say when that letter comes through!
EDIT: £1332 arrears :eek:Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

My ears will be well and truly burning later on!
Just had the CSA on the phone again with my payment calculation. She has taken a payment from ex today for £125 and then he has to pay £338 a month from next month which is the full 40% they can legally take  The payment schedule will be completed once the payment has cleared from today, and she will send it out next week.
I'm not sure if I'm more shocked at what he has to pay, or that fact that she managed to get him to a) answer the phone today, or b) hand some money over
I'm not going to popularbut at least I can now buy the kids some new school shoes without flashing the plastic!
