Advice desperatly needed
I got pushed into buying a contract phone recently, through real hard-sell tactics.
During the sell i felt completely unable to leave the shop - the seller disappeared with my sim-card and credit card. As leaving i said to the seller about returns policy, however on attempting to return the unused phone 3 days later, i was informed that there was absolutely no cooling-off period. Citizens Advice Bureau equally unhelpful.
Any ideas?

Unless you can 1) prove that the contract or phone was not suitable for the purpose you gave to them at the time or 2) the company suddenly becomes helpful I'm afraid you're stuck with it. No "cooling off" period unless specified when buying anything from a shop - including mobile phone contracts.0

Who was it from and which network.
Legally you have no cooling off time if bought in store, but some shops and networks may offer a grace preriod over and above your legal rights.0 -

I really feel for you - I went into Phones4U when I was shopping around and they were really pushy - ended up walking off with my phone and trying to push me into a contract and I felt trapped, luckily my boyfriend was there and told them where to go, but they ARE really pushy to the point where you feel uncomfortableThe more one gets to know of men, the more one values dogs.0
