I was advised by a 'petrol-head' friend to avoid fuel from Tesco or Asda. We had no end of problems with our last car using Tesco petrol. He recommended BP.

He also told me that Sainsbury's is supposed to be better so, to avoid BP prices, we use them instead. So far so good.

    Sainsbury's is BP just rebranded.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

The filling station on the A1 on the way to Banbridge always seems to be competitive. Name escapes me I'm afraid. It's the one with the restaurant beside it and has a green totem.

Crikey, if you mean the Travellers Kitchen I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place.

Do you know that for a fact and thats across all of NI?

It seems to be everyone elses perception that sainsburys / supermarket fuel is of a lower quality than premium brands?

In 2004 Sainsbury's struck a deal with BP and it is believed they now supply all of Sainsbury's fuel.

That's the one! Only ever had a cup of coffee in it and it was decent enough though.

I am told that all supermarket fuel comes from the same source in NI as do mostof the other brands - it's the additives that are added to the tankers (or not) that make the difference.
