It seems to be everyone elses perception that sainsburys / supermarket fuel is of a lower quality than premium brands?
In 2004 Sainsbury's struck a deal with BP and it is believed they now supply all of Sainsbury's fuel.0 -

I am told that all supermarket fuel comes from the same source in NI as do mostof the other brands - it's the additives that are added to the tankers (or not) that make the difference.0
