Three service problem - limited Service
Good Morning All,
My GF and I are both on 3 and last night the service dropped to no bars with a limited service message.
This morning I managed to make 2 calls (both with only 1 bar) I'm now at work and I've got no bars again.
I live in Essex and work in North London - Normally have very good reception.
Is anyone else having similar problems - or know what could be causing this??
Thanks.

Not sure what is going on with Three at the moment. I live less than a mile from a mast and normally get very good service but for the past two days there have been times when I've had no reception. Currently at work and getting 4-5 bars, no problem, however. If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

Thanks for your input.
Hopefully its just a glitch and will resolve itself. I'm a little surpised if it was affecting others that I haven't been able to find out anything about it. Oh well lets see what happens.0 -
Three can no longer provide a 2g service, as they did this through Orange's transmitters, and now dont, or cant.
This may be why your service has gone.
Try calling them, other people have been let out of their contracts due to this.0 -
A quick question that relates to this.
Are iPhones on 3 affected by the loss of 2G?0 -

Nope Orange still offer 2G Coverage to H3G. Due to a RAN share with T Mobile H3G has been turning off 2G coverage in certain areas. However NO work has been carried out over the past month due to the Xmas change freeze !0 -
There have been other threads recently on the same topic. Phone Customer services and log your complaint, letting them know when the problems started. They were very good with me and after that initial call they phoned me every couple of days to keep me updated. After a couple of weeks (but about 2 months of no network) they agreed there was nothing they could do and let me out of my contract with no penalty.
I don't know all the information about why they don't use orange anymore but I bet they're kicking themselves.
Hope you get it sorted.0 -
Just to echo what everyone has already said, I rang them up and it sounded like they ran a check online.. saw that my coverage had dropped all together and I've been given a get out of three free card.
One of the only easy calls I have ever made to 3.
alejandro27: The iphone will have problems, mine shows no service as it no longer roams onto Orange when no 3g around.
This kills my battery within 3 hours, can't wait to get with Tesco!! or T-Mob :TTighter than a gnats ****0
