Nope, we're not having them. I bet everyone else is and I'm going to feel like a total tight !!!!...

I'm not having favours either. Just thought I'd post so you didn't feel so tight!

I'm gonna put together a little 'goodie bag' for the kids who are coming to the ceremony, mainly to occupy them more than anything else tho! Just with some crayons, some pictures of weddingy things to colour in, maybe a little book, maybe some raisens or small packet of sweets, and a disposable camera with the 'I spy' game for them.

We're having little bags with miniature toiletries in. OH and I both work for that well known high street health & beauty retailer so we can pick up some great bargains in the staff shop :D

Overall it's worked out at about £25 for our favours (for 70 adults, including organza bags off ebay - which I'm hoping will turn up this week as I'm running out of time!). The women will have a nail varnish, a bottle of facial cleanser, a sachet of moisturiser, a mini nailfile, and a mini lipgloss and the men will get a miniature tube of shave gel, face wash, a tiny little fragrance sample and something else that I can't remember...

Ooooh, maybe you can help me?! I'm not doing favours per se as we're getting married abroad, I may rethink this closer to the time (although that is rapidly running out!) but we're (I mean 'I'm' since OH thinks I'm mad!) doing little survival bags for our guests, the girls are getting a mini lipgloss, perfume sample, face cream, hair bobble, hair serum etc and the boys are getting mini deodorant, aftershave sample, razor etc. I really want to get them mini shave gels but can't find anything cheap and small enough. I need 8 of them so the Gillette travel sized cans are too big to pack (on top of everything else I'm taking) and expensive at £1.50 a pop... what have you got and how much did they cost? Sorry that was a bit wordy! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

We're having little organza bags with a sixpence in them and the "something old" poem on a free vista print business card :p, 100 six pences are about £10 on ebay, organza bags are about £6 off ebay too :)

I wasn't going to bother, but I went into Whittards today and they were selling off the lindt christmas stuff for 50p each - so I bought the sleigh packs (each one has four tiny reindeer and a santa and I'll split the packs up). I'm getting married in lapland, so the itty bitty reindeer are kinda appropriate :) Whole lot done for £5 - plus I get to eat the santas :)
