Nope, we're not having them. I bet everyone else is and I'm going to feel like a total tight !!!!...saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.
We're 29% of the way there...0 -
We're having Antony Nolan Charity pins instead of favours in honour of my h2bs grandma who has struggled with leukaemia recently. What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0

I didn't want stupidly expensive or flashy ones (but me and OH do like to nibble on the choccies during other people's weddings so decided to have them) We just got some little draw sting bags (about £5 for 100 off ebay) and just plan to fill them up with some sweeties. Simples.0

We're making our own - jam jars filled with sweets!
They'll look just like homemade jam (with the fabric tops which will be tied on with raffia) and then each one will have a thank you tag on (like a luggage label) which also has the guests name so they double up as place settings.
They've worked out at about £45 for about 60 so really happy with them!0 -

We're having little bags with miniature toiletries in. OH and I both work for that well known high street health & beauty retailer so we can pick up some great bargains in the staff shop

Overall it's worked out at about £25 for our favours (for 70 adults, including organza bags off ebay - which I'm hoping will turn up this week as I'm running out of time!). The women will have a nail varnish, a bottle of facial cleanser, a sachet of moisturiser, a mini nailfile, and a mini lipgloss and the men will get a miniature tube of shave gel, face wash, a tiny little fragrance sample and something else that I can't remember...:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
I'm making biscuits - cricket balls for the men, stars for the girls - and they wil either have their names iced onto them or written on a luggage label and tied on the wrapping...depending on how much time I have the week before the before the wedding!..and will double up as place names.0

Me and my mum are making clotted cream fudge for the favours. Although we are getting married in Scotland, I grew up in Devon so we wanted to add some Devon character to the wedding. Haven't fully costed it yet though.0
