    Hi everyone

I used to be a member of this thread a while back but then cleared all my debts. However, have started maternity leave today so every penny is now going to count again!

    So, my things for today:

1, Midwife appointment - will pop to Tesco on the way home for bread, juice and some fruit, hopefully that will see us through until the weekend
2, Stick to meal plan - got a new Kitchen Diary for Christmas so have been planning properly this week, also got a family planner which has a wipe clean section so have put that up in the kitchen and I can write on it anything that needs eating up out of the fridge.
3, Make some cheesey biscuits with whoopsied shortcrust pastry and Christmas cheese.
4, Clear up the nursery a bit
    5, Check banking - done
6, Start Tesco savings stamps for this year.
7, Just put gas fire on in living room rather than heating the whole house, until tonight.
8, Finish watching Zen on Sky Box as fell asleep in the last half hour on Sunday!

I think that's everything - have lovely days everyone xx

Good morning, all! Good to be back after a week visiting a good friend in Germany over New Year. It was quite MSE in holiday terms - stayed with her family, mostly ate and drank at home, etc, but did do some (essential!) work clothes shopping while I was there in the sales / in a charity shop. As always, Jan is likely to be a looonngg month, so today:
    • Had no food prepared as got home late last night, so brought in a tin of soup for lunch at work
    • Checked the new TFL fares, which have gone up for both busses (argh!) and the tube
    • Will meal plan and make a shopping list
    • Go to gym, as havent been in ages due to hols and being poorly in between!
    • Organize work load at the office now that I need to be productive and all that :rotfl:
    • Unpack and tidy flat
    • Check banking
Virtual hugs to everyone feeling poorly.
    Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000
:DDebt free as of 1 October, 2010:D
Taking my frugal life on the road!
  • Not joined this for a llllloooooonnnngggggg time (about 3 years). Loving the fact that it's still going strong. I have started the year off determind to shift all my debt before my 30th birthday at the end of this year so today I.....

    Have:
    Checked online banking
transferred £4.88 towards NEXT (daily payment challenge)
Sent DS1 to his footie christmas party (cancelled before Christmas due to weather) with a friends dad.

    PLAN TO:
    List books on amazon
return slippers and trackies to NEXT and get the money refunded to my account (£18)
return a DVD player bought for DS1 for Christmas which I changed my mind about (£20)
Prepare kitchen for new fridge (mums old one) coming on Friday and meal plan for next week since I will now have a freezer to store things in - lived without one for over a year now.

I'm sure I had other stuff to do but they escape me just now
Official DFW nerd no 551 - proud to be dealing with my debts
    Debts as of March 2014
    Nationwide - £5745, Overdraft - £350,
    Debts as of January 2015
    Nationwide - £4997, Overdraft - £0:j

I start Weightwatchers again tonight and will pay by monthly payment to save a few pounds and can register for free.

Don't forget if you were at goal before you had your LO, you can go back free until your LO is six months old (or you get back to within 5 pounds of goal, if that is sooner)

Write shopping list for tomorrow - haven't time to go today I don't think
Quick tidy round, try and re-organise after Christmas
No heating on whilst at home - extra jumper instead :o
Lunch from stores/ tea from planner
    [STRIKE]
update speadsheet on work computer after I have made some overpayments after christmas and get ready for pay day tomorrow
[/STRIKE]Early night - woke up at 5.30 this morning after having a not very nice dream - couldn't go back to sleep  did get to watch a few overs of the cricket though :j
