If you can't get them returned and refunded, could they arrange for the bobbly bits to be cut off or modified so you can use them?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

From the picture it looks to me like the "bobbly bits" are a lot smaller than the main retention bar at the top so I doubt that they would fit even if the ends were removed.0

Not sure about the earrings and returning them, but one tip I do have is about you piercings! The holes in your ears may well have shrunk, and lots of cheaper earrings are a smaller sized bar than expensive ones. If you really do like them and they wont return them, you could use a taper of a 2mm size to stretch your ears slightly bigger to allow you to fit the earrings in. Its not everyones cup of tea stretching piercings, but the taper will cost a couple of quid and means that you get to wear your earrings. PM me if you want more info

That statment is just ridiculous. You cannot contract HIV from earrings someone else has worn
It's not beyond the realms of possibility - especially if the size of the bar means the piercing gets stretched/torn.I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care

I'd take them back to the shop and see what they say, as they're designed to go through an average ear piercing hole, but won't. I'd ask to swap them for another pair.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Given that the virus cannot survive outside the body for very long, then the chances of this happening are very very remoteThe Daily Mail

Thank you everyone for your advice. I'm not keen on the idea of stretching the piercing holes, so I emailed the company to explain the situation and ask for help. They have just got back to me and have offered to exchange them for something else - so I'm off to do that right now. Well done Fraser Hart! :T0

So it's gone from:You cannot contract HIV from earrings someone else has wornthen the chances of this happening are very very remote
in under an hour.
At this rate, by the end of today it will 100% certain that you will contract HIV from the earrings.0
