We are looking to buy a new kitchen soon and also change the layout of the whole kitchen area.
Is it possible to relocate the Water Meter to a new area of the kitchen ?
Can a regular plumber do this, or does it have to be someone from the Utilities Co. ?

You will need to get approval from the water co before you move the meter as its there peoperty , a plumber should be able to move the meter once you are given the go ahead, but it may need to be checked again once fitted to make sure you arnt fiddling (im not saying you would some do
), bear in mind that it really needs to go just after the supply enters your property, they may be able to fit an external one outside. 0 -
Thanks Deanos - I've just called United Utilities who will send "a leaflet" out in the post (will arrive in the next 2 weeks). I think the UU lady said something about sending £35 for a Survey Fee, though not too sure & will wait and see as hopefully it will be on "the leaflet"...0
