In response to the poster who enquired about ortho k lenses. These are lenses you wear at night when you sleep and take them out in the morning to perfect vision.
I have been wearing these for about 2 years and they work very well to me. I had great difficulty wearing soft contact lenses and my eyes would become so gritty and dry even upon just putting the soft lenses in. The ortho k are hard lenses and u can feel them but they are not that bad at all. The idea is that when you are asleep and your eyes closed, you don;t feel the edge of the lens. I have no probs with them. I stopped wearing them for a couple of months following a car accident where I got my cornea cut from the impact but I had no probs at all after it healed up.
I like the fact that if I don't wear them my eyesight returns to 'poor' normal. I can sometimes get 2 days out of them as well meaning I only put them in every 2nd night.0
