I would avoid Turkey waterparks in August with young kids, we've been a few times in July (i belive it is even hotter in August) and it is boiling, trying to walk to to top of the rides in bare feet on the boiling hot ground is a nightmare, as well as forever re-applying suncream as you are contantly in and out of the water. I would look into some of the suggestions for spain, majorca etc.

I looked at this place before, but my kids are too old, it has a waterpark and small theme park onsite which might be suitable for kids of your ages, it's 12 miles from Amsterdam airport aswell if you didn't fancy taking the car with you.

  • Thanks for your suggestions everyone, i think i am completely off the idewa of Turkey now. I'm glad i asked for advice on this site before booking, it would have been very unbearable for the kids.

I have alot to work with here so i am well chuffed that i'll find something we'll all enjoy. :-)

I dont mean to confuse you further! but If you can go in may or october breaks then I think Turkey is a great choice for an all inclusive hotel with an onsite waterpark.

Remember that with an onsite waterpark, you will have no extra charges for use of the waterpark, the kids will be free to come and go all day, everyday.

Turkey (in my experience) does the best onsite waterparks, look in a holiday brochure, you will see what I mean. Turkey also does all inclusive really well, much better than spain/canaries in my experience, and is great value for money.

When we stayed in Kusadasi we went past a hotel I think called aqua fantasy (massive waterpark)
There are also lots of hotels in the Lara beach/Antalya region that look amazing. I also noticed that in Egypt some of the hotels have massive waterparks onsite, but I think this would be more expensive than Turkey and probably alot hotter!

I have also been to salou and the waterpark was great but it cost us 80euro per day to visit, so we only went once.
