M&S Further reductions

Trafford Centre was like a jumble sale, but I did hear an assistant talking about moving stuff around as they were going to Manager's reductions very soon. Weird pricing structures though. Got a pair of pj's from £20, marked at £9 and came up on the till as £5 but a box of Christmas knickers which had been £10 originally was still going through the till at £7!0

On the first day of reductions I was in my local m&s early and the lady was busy tagging, I saw several pairs of trousers for £12 reduced from £99, took them to the till and they scanned at £29. She went to speak to the lady tagging and she said she could have kicked herself at her error. But the product has to be sold to you at the price stated so that was that.
Also had the same issue with a dress thats sticker said £12.00 instead of £120.00 down to £45.00, but I had it for £12:j
That's a common misconception - shops don't have to sell at the price shown if they've made a mistake with the price tags - http://www.consumerrightsexpert.co.uk/common-consumer-misconceptions.html

I went to london oxford street m&s today and must say there were very few clothes that were reduced further than they were initially and I was somewhat disappointed but then went downstairs to the gift section and it was much better.
I got some lovely wooden xmas decs for next years tree reduced from £5 a set to 50p, plus stig soap on a ropes like these http://www.menkind.co.uk/gifts-gadgets-c112/boys-toys-c3/kitsch-funny-gifts-c28/top-gear-stig-soap-on-a-rope-p110089?utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=ppc&utm_term=110089&utm_campaign=froogle#110089 for a quid as nice little extras for some upcoming male birthday pressies.
Also got this fruity beauty set for £2 http://www.marksandspencer.com/Fruity-Beauty-Bath-Caviar-Gift/dp/B004FSXDSO?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_3&sr=1-3&qid=1294427702&pf_rd_r=1MAPMBABMMDA94Z8P3HX&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_i=0&pf_rd_p=215485807&pf_rd_s=center-3 plus a few other bits of their stuff which were also eqaully reduced to put in the present drawer as well as some little kids card games which were reduced to 50p to a pound each and a NHM height chart the same as this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0044798QC/ref=asc_df_B0044798QC1703464?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&!!!!!googlecouk06-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=B0044798QC for £2.:j
Initially I felt quite disappointed by the sale but after that lot I definitely went away happy in the end and I guess I didn't really NEED anymore clothes anyway:D
They had tonnes of other stuff too so I would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area"You've got to cut your cloth to suit your wassname" Terry (my Dad), 1944-present0 -

Especially when they are stickers on the tags. On the whole it is likely that someone has made an error when stickering however I have known for the odd unscrupulous customer to change stickers but I would never tell a customer this, it's most likely to be an error from an SA and I'd tell them every time that it was our mistake. You wouldn't believe the lengths (and again this is rare) that some people will go to though. I've know a customer to go into another department's stock room and take clothes out of there that had been priced ready for sale and then insist they had to sell them at that price because they had a sale sticker on! Obviously they informed them they would be sold at full price. It's a shame as most of the customers are so lovely and I'd actually much rather see them come in and get the bargains at manager reductions anyway. It's great when the sticker is higher than it comes through on the till as it's nice to be able to tell the customer their item is less than they thought

I know what you mean. I like sequins alot generally but the colouring under it makes it look quite unusual. :rotfl:Whether we win or lose, that we played at all was a winning decision.

I was in Bishop Auckland store yesterday, admittedly a small store but I found the prices really poor. Not much off for stuff which was clearly out dated and they would stuggle to sell at half the price. Poor show !
I did manage to spend £37 on food when I only intended spending £25 to get the £5 off!! lol:rotfl:clever marketing :-)0
