*URGENT* Can texts be blocked on iphone??

I need some advice urgently, my friend is recieving awful text messages from her ex and wants to block his messages. She can't change her number as she needs it for work. Is there a way of doing this on the phone and will network provider be able to do this??

    I think if you jailbreak you can get an app that does it.

    Should be able to get an app for rejecting selected numbers via text or voice call without having to jail break the handset.

    I'm pretty sure that if you ring your phone company they can block the number for you.

    technically they can, but practically , it won't happen .
