    worth checking again I think
it looks good, but a £2 per month fee after the free year is not so attractive.

I must admit that I run away from anything like that that appears to be reeling me in to a subscription. I've just ordered an Owl on the MSE 40% off deal.

I hope you only had the washing machine on when the sun was shining .... :rotfl:

    Z

Washing machine was on,off,on,off, washing was in,out,in,out and then we shook it all about, we did the hokey cokey and we turned around............;)

Seriously, half term in my family so 15 less shirts to wash and iron and the teenagers are living in their pyjamas so no washing done at all. I have to say it is really only in the holidays that I personally can pick and choose so much. After two days of rain we ar back to sunny Essex again. My FIT payment has reached my bank account and all is well.
Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D
  • Hi all.
Maybe you can store the unused lecci.
I was thinking along the lines of battery to store on sunny days / times. Then use a Tie in invertor to power the house from the Battery overnight.

Just an idea. Tie In Ivertors are about £100 for 500W. Battery less.

    Cheers

Plus the appropriate switchgear to connect it up. Wired and certified in accordance with Part P.

Automatic changeover, or waking to a dark house?

In any case you really aren't going to collect much energy.

You would probably get a far better deal selecting Economy 7. Now that your daytime use has reduced, it could mean that it works out for you.
  • Hi all just a quick up date,my generating meter was'nt wired right but sorted now. Also a warning to anyone getting the solar panels don't believe the company when they say they will sort out all the FIT doc's and paper work DO it your self as i found out lost the first 4 days that was with ( advanced solar) Scotland. But everything on track now all i need is some winter sun praying to the sun gods now :A

    Hi,
I have been searching through loads of posts looking for an answer to a question I have but can't find anything relating to it, so thought I'd try here as most seem to have their system up and running. My question is ,
How long did it take to start receiving money back from your supplier once your system had been registered ? Did your elec provider drag their heels and take weeks or months before they dealt with your claim for FiT, also do they have a legal deadlins as to how long they have to clear it ?

    :TThanks MICKYDUCK, good link.
  • Re the cuts to Solar PV FITs announced today - can anyone confirm that this is ONLY applying to new installations and existing ones keep the 43p + inflation next year?

Yes that's true. Follow any of the links quoted today or look at the consultation paper linked from here and you'll see it in black and white.
    3.9kWp solar PV installed 21 Sept 2011, due S and 42° roof.
17,011kWh generated as at 30 September 2016 - system has now paid for itself.
