So now I have a solar PV system how do I make the most of it???

Certainly did - although oh had washed panels in April. Its one advantage of having a chalet bungalow & a steep pitch to the roof.
And the good news is we are already over the predicted output for May, with still a week to go.0 -
You're lucky! After a terrific April, May's been cloudy almost every day at my house, so I'm going to be way under prediction again unless the last 8 days of the month are constantly sunny :-(0

I'm over my prediction for May:j but very little rain means I'm not sure mine are clean but as they are still producing over 20kWh per day I'm not too bothered at the moment;)Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0

Don't know if the volcanic ash is assisting but I had my highest output yet (24kWh) in almost a month of being up and running.0

Did everyone get their PV Panels washed yesterday??
Not here we didn't - blue skies all day yesterday!:D2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

(My solar results are logged here.)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
110% of prediction for whole of May already generated here as of sundown yesterday with a week still to go
Unfortunately, forecast is for showers (with associated cloud) for the next couple of days - OTOH, maybe my panels will get their wash after all

Too futuristic?? well I would have laughed 30 years ago if I had read a similar article about domestic homes having solar panels on their roofs!!
If only they could claim the FIT...0 -
All it needs is a "lightbulb" moment.0

We managed a 28kWh day yesterday and today they have had their much needed wash:T I am glad because the garden really needed it.
On another note my next door neighbour is looking into solar panels and he has been told that they have to change his meter first if it is an old style meter.Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0
