Certainly did - although oh had washed panels in April. Its one advantage of having a chalet bungalow & a steep pitch to the roof.

And the good news is we are already over the predicted output for May, with still a week to go.

You're lucky! After a terrific April, May's been cloudy almost every day at my house, so I'm going to be way under prediction again unless the last 8 days of the month are constantly sunny :-(

I'm over my prediction for May:j but very little rain means I'm not sure mine are clean but as they are still producing over 20kWh per day I'm not too bothered at the moment;)

  • Don't know if the volcanic ash is assisting but I had my highest output yet (24kWh) in almost a month of being up and running.

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

Even if the sun doesn't rise for the rest of the month I would beat the target by 4%. As it is, it looks like I shall comfortably beat the target by 30%. Quite poor really, in April I beat the target by 47%. :p

(My solar results are logged here.)

Unfortunately, forecast is for showers (with associated cloud :() for the next couple of days - OTOH, maybe my panels will get their wash after all :D

Too futuristic?? well I would have laughed 30 years ago if I had read a similar article about domestic homes having solar panels on their roofs!!

If only they could claim the FIT...

All it needs is a "lightbulb" moment.

We managed a 28kWh day yesterday and today they have had their much needed wash:T I am glad because the garden really needed it.
On another note my next door neighbour is looking into solar panels and he has been told that they have to change his meter first if it is an old style meter. ;)
