Hi equaliser123. I am also with Eon and was due to give my reading in on 6th April. I checked out the website and I could not find where to submit my reading. So I called them up and they said they were no taking readings due to the price increase. However as I was due to give them the reading within seven days she would take it. I asked how to give subsequent readings and she said I would always have to phone them in????
I don't know if this will help.
Anyway she did say to expect the payment to appear in my bank account within 7 days:DEnough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0 -

How convenient for them! Appreciate it isn't huge amount of difference, but they are darned accurate when it comes to their price increases.
I have an email address:

I believe this is the e-mail for Eon fit meter readings:
FeedInTariffMeterReadings@eonenergy.com
taken from their e-mail to me:
"Thank you for sending your FIT scheme readings.
Providing your readings are within tolerance we will pass your account for payment and your nominated bank account should be credited in the next five to ten days.
Please send your next set of readings, along with your name and FIT ID on the next reading date to: FeedInTariffMeterReadings@eonenergy.com
If you have any further questions please call us on 0845 301 4884 or email us at FeedInTariffEnquiries@eonenergy.com "0 -

Also with E-on
Teachergirl, I sent my last meter reading by email to feedintariffmeterreadings@eonenergy.com , this was on my FIT Plan, I got an email back (from a person, not an automated response) acknowledging receipt within 15 minutes. Received statement in post a few days later and payment went into bank the day after that.
When I spoke to them a couple of weeks ago I was told that we would all need to send readings in today.
I rang because, when I got my system from them, the literature (and the consultant) said that Eon would take readings remotely for the first 12 months so I thought that they might take a reading today automatically, but apparently the system isn't up and running yet! (Not that they've bothered to notify anyone!)2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

I'm also with E.ON and my next reading is due on 12th April. I think I will wait till then as I am interested in seeing how they manage the tariff change mid generation period.0

Just had a thought(rare occurance)! Could your reference to 'Standard Utility meter' mean you think the 2,000kWh generated will 'turn back' the mains electricity meter by 2,000kWh?
If so that happens on a very few meters, and is of course illegal!
It would not be illegal because you have installed a certified scheme for selling electricity back to the grid!
In fact there mentions on these forums of meters going backwards (presumably the old style ones with a revolving disc).
None of the suppliers I have had quotes from have said that I would have to have a new meter for incoming electricity. Perhaps I do but no-one has mentioned it because I don't have to pay for it? Please enlighten me.
If I had a PV system fitted, then unplugged everything in the house and went away on holiday, I would expect the meter reading to be LOWER when I came back. Why wouldn't it be?We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

You are confusing the method of calculating the predicted financial projections you will be quoted, with what happens in real life.
Are you suggesting that the real savings will be calculated in a different way to the standard method prescribed by the government for assessing returns? (not just with a different factor but in a different way).
If so, I can see a huge mis-selling scandal on the horizon!!We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

Thanks to everyone for the e-mail address:A I did think it sounded a bit odd. I will await and see what happens and try and e-mail next quarterEnough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0

So my hunch was correct, you were depending on a meter running backwards in your calculations.
Firstly there are some old meters that do run backward. However the majority don't.
It is because the majority of meters don't run backwards that you don't have to routinely get a new meter.
However you aren't selling electricity back to the grid by having your meter running backwards.
You get an assumed 3p per kWh for selling 50% of your generated energy back to the grid.
You don't seriously think that the idea is you should also get a further 10p/kWh(or however much you pay for electricity) for all generated electricty on top of that 3p and FIT.
Indeed if you have a meter that runs backward, and you go away on holiday you reading would be LOWER, but if discovered do you think the Utility company will be happy?0 -

i'm not really sure I understand what you are asking. The question just doesn't make sense to me. I think it's clear from your recent posts that you have some very fundamental misunderstandings of how the scheme works.
The methods for estimating returns do just that - they estimate or project or guess what your returns may be. What they eventually turn out to be will be different from those estimates or projections or guesses. For reasons explained now several times in several different ways by several different posters, the actual returns from the estimated 50% home usage are likely to be less than the estimate. Have you actually read and understood those several replies explaining this?0
