So now I have a solar PV system how do I make the most of it???

    Still just the thick grey cable going in to the generation meter so it looks like I have a spare monitor.
    What about beyond the generation meter?

    easiest place to fit it is in the fuse box

    if your not competent (and qualified ;)) to do this yourself, then get a qualified electrician ;)

  • I only ever saw levels like that with our 3.96 system in mid - summer - only 1.5 units all yesterday - with sun all day!

    We did 7kWh yesterday :D (2.22kWp system)
    2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shading
    Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end
    MFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
    2021 £1250.00, 2022 £1500.00, 2023 £1500, 2024 £1350
    2025 target = £1200, YTD £9190

    We did 7kWh yesterday :D (2.22kWp system)
    ... and 6kWh with my 2.0kWp system yesterday. I am pleasantly surprised to be getting this much at this time of year, and there is still a bit of shading in the afternoon. The highest I ever got in the summer was 12 kWh. A comparable day of unbroken sunshine exactly two weeks earlier managed only 4kWh, so things are improving rapidly.

    P.S. under 3kWh today as only hazy sunshine most of the time.
